Medications and medical products suitable for plant-based diet consumers

Our fraternity need to shape the potential of regulations of medications and medical products, so that they are suitable plant based diet consumers.
An estimated number of 75% of medications prescribed in the United Kingdom are derived from animal products. This renders them unsuitable for vegetarians and vegans.
Many doctors and patients are unaware that commonly prescribed drugs contain animal products and simply reading the list of ingredients will not make it clear if the prescription meets the patient’s diet regime.
